How do I earn points?
You earn points for the amount of time you spend exercising at recreation and wellness facilities on campus. Just enter a facility and you’re automatically checked into Plyo based on your location. In most cases, you don’t even need to take your phone out of your pocket to start earning points; just make sure your location services are set to “always allow.”
For certain devices, you may need to open the Plyo app for prompt check-in after entering the rec center.
The app won’t check me into my workout. What should I do?
We’ve seen a few edge cases where certain devices have infrequent or inaccurate background location updates, which may prevent or cause delays with automatic check-in.
If this happens, usually you can just open up the Plyo app for prompt check-in after entering the recreation center.
If you’re still not being checked in, please try the following:
Step One: Make sure location services are properly set up.
iOS: Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Plyo > “Always.”
Android: Settings > Apps > Plyo > Permissions > Location > “Allow all the time.”
Step Two: Open Google Maps to see if your device is properly recognizing your location inside the gym.
Step Three: Sign out and sign back into the app.

How many points do I earn per hour?
You earn 50 points per hour of exercise, or 100 points per hour if you add a friend to your workout!
Once you surpass 2,000 points, you will begin earning points at a lower rate. We do this to ensure a level playing field for all Plyo users, so that anyone can jump in and start seeing the rewards of living an active lifestyle.
How do I redeem my points?
In-store rewards: Just select a merchant and choose the reward you’d like to redeem, present your phone to the cashier at the point of purchase, and the cashier will select “Tap to Redeem.” Please note that your reward will redeem immediately.
Online rewards: After selecting “Tap to Redeem,” you’ll be given a promotional code which can be used online at the merchant’s website within 24 hours.
Why does Plyo require location services?
The reason we require location services to be set to “Always Allow” is so you can be checked into (and out of) affiliated facilities without having to open the app or leave it open. It’s our goal to make it easy for you to focus on being active while the points rack up automatically.
Data privacy is very important to us, which is why we do not store data related to your location beyond the time you enter or exit an affiliated facility. This information is not shared outside of Plyo.
How do Raffles work?
You can enter raffles as many times as you’d like. 1 redemption = 1 entry. Winners are chosen on the date listed within the reward, and are notified via email. If you don’t receive an email on the date of the raffle drawing, you were not selected as a winner.
